Welcome! I have an emotional relationship with color: my mood determines what my favorite color is for the day and then I usually wear it whether it’s my clothing or makeup showing off this color. Seriously, if asked on any given day, my favorite color is the rainbow. It’s part of my INFJ Personality, my mood determines my music and vice versa.
My journey, which I am going to share with you, is one you are also on: exploring life. I decided to start this blog for my running portion of life, but has turned into more of non-running things; about the things I come across and fall in love with. I love to run and weight lift, I used to compete in high school as a swimmer, and in middle school I was a gymnast. I have an athletic body, but it still takes dedication and planning to keep it in shape. I am not a medical professional; everything on this blog is not supported by a medical education nor degree, but through my personal research and experience. Please do seek a professional before you change your nutrition and/or workout habits.
I chose to start this blog at a particular moment in time: on Monday, August 5th, 2013, I began training for my first half-marathon. I’ve completed 2 official half-marathons, and one full marathon. I did run a 13.1 training run while getting ready for the marathon, so I like to think I’ve run 3 of those.
I live a gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, soy free life because of intolerance caused from an autoimmune disorder. I choose bison over cow meat most of the time, and I do love my steaks medium-rare. I chose this lifestyle because my body told me to, it’s not a fad diet for me, these choices make my body happy. I don’t starve my body of any cravings, I just make smart choices of how to fulfill those cravings.
Welcome to my colorful world, please enjoy the journey with me.
