Charity Miles

Have you heard about the free app that will track your miles and earn money for charities of your choice, for free?
Charity Miles is what this post is about, and I can’t believe I haven’t shared it on this platform before!
From the website:
Get Started
Ready to become a sponsored athlete? Simply turn on the app, choose a charity, and press start. As you exercise, we’ll track your distance and the money earned. When you’re finished, accept your sponsorship, spread the word, and we’ll send you a note confirming your good work.

How it Works
It’s as easy as this: get moving. Bikers earn 10¢ a mile and walkers and runners earn 25¢ a mile, up to our initial $1,000,000 sponsorship pool.

This FREE app is available on Android and iPhone, just click your operating software and it will bring you to your download store!
I logged my first Charity Miles on March 13, 2013:

Gene, the man behind Charity Miles, hasn’t been able to run as often as he did before he started this great thing, but sends encouragement to all of the runners that use Charity Miles. He is the Coach, and he calls a select group of individuals his All Stars. I was selected last year to be an All Star (now you can see why I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this amazing thing, yet!) and have spread the love of this to my runner friends.
Now it’s your turn!
Download the app, it’s free!
They only need your name, email address, and age. You don’t have to link any of your social media, unless you want to share what you’ve accomplished and brag of the GOOD you did! That will all link up through your phone, the permissions page/option, not the app! You’ll need to give the app GPS access, so it can track your miles accurately, but there is an indoor option so you don’t have to go outside!
Follow Charity Miles on twitter (@charitymiles) and Facebook!

Let me know when you start using this great app!
